Microsoft announced yet another shuffling of the executive deck chairs on June 28, moving its Small and Mid-market Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) group to report to Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner. Former SMS&P head Orlando Ayala is moving to the emerging markets group. Over on Mini-Microsoft, there's speculation that Wednesday's shuffle is a precursor to layoffs that could affect multiple business units, including the Digital Media Division. (No comment yet from Microsoft on that one.) In other personnel-related news, Microsoft Platform Evangelist Vic Gundotra is resigning to go (after a year of working for charity, so as not to violate his non-compete) to work at Google.
