Millions of consumers with new Microsoft Windows XP-equipped computers remain oblivious to a gaping security hole that could trigger the next wave of computer viruses, security experts say. Of concern is a "universal plug-and-play" feature Microsoft activated in Windows XP to make it easier for consumers to link two or more PCs to a common printer, music player and other devices in a home network of electronic appliances. However, the new feature also leaves any Windows XP computer connected to the Internet vulnerable to intruders.
