Microsoft says its Vista Windows makeover offers clarity, but will it banish the bugs?
"HASTA la vista! Baby!" growled Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the 1991 movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
The phrase, Spanish for goodbye, is getting a new workover in the IT world after Microsoft last week announced the next version of its Windows operating system will be known as Vista.
Previously codenamed Longhorn, it won't reach retail shelves until late next year, three years after it was announced and six years after the last major update of Windows.
However, the first beta, or test, version was issued to 10,000 software developers last week.
