Microsoft Corp. today announced that it will establish a new centre for research and development (R&D) at its campus in Sandyford, County Dublin, Ireland. Details of the new investment were announced by Microsoft EMEA CEO Jean-Philippe Courtois with the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, at an event celebrating 20 years of Microsoft investing in Ireland.
The Taoiseach welcomed the announcement as a significant development for Ireland and one that helps the Irish government achieve its goals in the area of R&D. He also highlighted the importance of this investment in light of the increased competition for these kinds of projects.
