For the ConferenceXP 3.0 release, we’re focused on improving the user experience, performance, and network reliability.
ConferenceXP 3.0 Beta
The ConferenceXP 3.0 Beta includes these new features and enhancements:
- Reed-Solomon forward error correction (FEC)—Improved support for collaborative applications in wireless environments
- XOR FEC—Reduced network bandwidth requirements for audio and video
- Improved support for video capture devices, including the Osprey and Winnov Videum capture cards
- New Microsoft Windows Media 9–style video windows
- ConferenceXP Client application UI enhancements, including streamlined audio/video setup, venue management, and RTDocuments application selection
- Improved performance counters and diagnostics
ConferenceXP 3.0 Release
For the ConferenceXP 3.0 Release, we’re planning on including these additional new features and enhancements:
- NAQ (negative acknowledgement) retransmission support
- Multicast reflector/unicast gateway
- Multiple camera support
- Windows Media 9 codecs support
- ConferenceXP software development kit (SDK) with additional samples
