Loads of TV news to report today.
First up is more exciting TV on DVD announcements from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment. Fans can look forward to a four-disc Just Shoot Me: Seasons 1 & 2 collection, as well as the 80's classic Who's The Boss: The Complete First Season. Each is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 stereo and include no extras aside from airdate and episode synopses. Release date is June 8th; retail price will be $39.95 each.
Anchor Bay Entertainment has some TV lovin' as well, with the long-awaited farcical TV favorite Sledgehammer!: Season One, which streets on July 27th. Presented in 4:3 full screen, extras include audio commentary with creator Alan Spencer, all new cast and crew interviews, original commercials and episode info. List price will go for $39.95.
And on May 4th comes Three's Company: Season Two, which will handedly top Anchor Bay's featureless first season set with over two hours of bonus material. In addition to remastered 4:3 full screen transfers and restored Dolby 2.0 stereo tracks, goodies include the never-before-seen pilot episode made before Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne Somers were cast, the all-new "John Ritter: Always Leave Them Laughing" documentary, audio commentary on the episode "Days Of Beer And Weeds" with Chris Mann, author of "Come and Knock on Our Door," the featurette "Eight Years Of Laughter: A Tribute To John Ritter," a blooper reel, the "Best Of Janet: Season Two," "Best Of Chrissy: Season Two" and "Best of the Ropers: Season Two" montages, a trivia game, two still galleries and talent bios. Retail will be just $39.95.
