If you call yourself a Nintendo fan, then you'll know Argonaut. In fact, you
probably already love Argonaut. Developer of titles like StarFox, Stunt Race FX,
and the cancelled StarFox 2 for the Super Nintendo, Argonaut was behind some of
the most loved characters on the SNES, and also one of the first developers to
bring full 3D to the console world, thanks to Nintendo's FX chip. When the
console shift came about, Argonaut responded with its take on the 3D platformer
-- Croc, and Croc 2. While not
wholly original, both titles manage to push cuteness to new levels, while still
managing to make the PlayStation feel like a whole new system, thanks to some
slick programming and some clean art design. But that's the past. Now Argonaut
is ready to make its next step into the new generation of games with Malice, a
title set to push the limits of the new Xbox hardware.
