Microsoft Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc. agreed on a proposal for complying with a U.S. judge's order that Microsoft must include Sun's Java programming language in Windows, Sun said.
Sun's lawyer delivered the proposal to the court, which was closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The proposal was received by U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz, said Lisa Poulson, a spokeswoman for Sun with Kirtland Enterprise Group. Poulson and Microsoft spokesman Jim Desler declined to comment on specifics of the proposal.
