Apple's iPods are flying off the shelves this Christmas. The month leading up to Christmas is the best month for retailers all across the US.
In fact, many of the well known stores like Circuit City, Sears, Macy's and Best Buy do between 65% and 80% of their sales during this month. Not withstanding its steep price of $250 to $400, one of the most popular item seems to be the iPod.
Those who consider themselves “hip”, no matter the age, all seem to want this device which allows users to carry a mobile song library in their pockets. Apple sold about 2 million iPods in the third quarter of 2004, a number that is expected to be easily surpassed in the fourth quarter. Apple is really riding high on this innovative new invention.
