20th Century Fox has just announced a slew of September TV products, so let's get on with the good stuff.
Due on August 12th is Futurama Volume 2. This 4-disc set features fullscreen transfers and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround tracks. Extras include audio commentaries on all episodes, deleted scenes, full animatics for the episode "Why Must I Be a Crustacean In Love?", still gallery, concept art, alien alphabet, Futurama video game trailer, and loads of Easter Eggs. Retail is $49.98.
Due on August 19th is NYPD Blue: The Complete Second Season. The 6-disc set comes with fullscreen transfers, English Dolby Digital 4.0 Surround, French 2.0 Mono, and Spanish 2.0 Surround tracks. Extras include audio commentaries by episode directors Mark Tinker and Michael Rob and technical advisor Bill Clark. Other bonus features include featurettes and Script to Screen Comparisons (Sipowicz Meets Simone, Sylvia Meets Simone, Simone and Sipowicz Bond). Retail is $59.98.
Streeting on September 2nd is Angel: The Complete Second Season. This 6-disc set comes with fullscreen transfers and and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround tracks. Extras include an audio commentary with Tim Minear on "Are You Now or Have Ever Been," and with Fred Keller on "Over the Rainbow." Other extras include the featurettes Making Up the Monsters, Inside the Agency, Stunts, Season 2 Overview; scripts for the episodes "Darla" and "Disharmony"; a still gallery and a blueprint gallery. And finally, due a week later on September 9th is The Family Guy Volume 2. This 3-disc set will be presented in fullscreen, English & Spanish DD 2.0 Surround, and French DD 2.0 Stereo. Bonus features include commentaries for the episodes "Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington", "Death Lives," "Mr. Saturday Night", "Ready, Willing and Disabled," "Brian Wallows," and the previously unaired "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein."
