  Updated - Microsoft Having Massive Server Problems

Nick Roberts has emailed us saying, "Microsoft Windows Activation servers have been down all day. A call to the activation number is no help either. They give you a message that the servers will be up in 4 to 5 hours." It sounds like the servers may have some how been affected by the SQL worm going around. We will bring you more info when we get it.

Update (5:35 PM Eastern)
It appears as if the problem might be affecting the .NET Passport service as well. MSN Internet customers may also be having trouble. David Beatson tells us, "I called MSNTV and MSN support who told me a Virus has affected some of their servers." Beatson also said both MSNTV and MSN Internet service are having internal trouble and were unable to supply him with a ticket number or service credit. Apparently some customers have been without service for over 16 hours.
