In an attempt to exploit the mobility features of Windows XP and Office XP, Windows & .NET Magazine Network will launch a seven-city event series called the Microsoft Mobility Tour at the end of this month. The tour is sponsored by tech companies such as HP, Citrix, Toshiba and Microsoft partners Acer America Corp., Electrovaya, InfoClarus, Phoenix Technologies and Pumatech.
The tour will feature a keynote speech by Paul Thurrott, news editor for Windows & .NET Magazine, and will demonstrate Microsoft's hardware-based mobility solutions, including the Tablet PC and the Pocket PC. The Mobility Tour promises to give enterprise IT professionals insider knowledge and first-hand experience with these relatively new technology platforms. The tour is no cost to attendees and travels to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, New York and Chicago through March.
