Gamescom is upon us, ladies and gentlemen, but there's time nonetheless for a pinch more insight from this year's E3 (Gamescom and E3 are, so you know, more or less equivalent to Battlefield and Call of Duty in the expo scale/rivalry stakes). Titanfall designer Fairfax 'Mackey' McCandlish has explained to Edge that the game's preposterous mechs aren't supposed to feel like fantasy - they're the result of extensive research into actual military technology, and may thus represent a practical possibility given, oh, a couple billion dollars in disposable cash.
