Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, the second expansion to the original PC tactical shooter, is getting a port to the Xbox.
The console version, due out by the end of this summer in the U.S., will be a completely independent disc—you won't have to own the original Xbox Ghost Recon to play it. Ubi Soft hasn't discussed exactly what the disc will feature yet, but a dozen game types and twelve Xbox Live-compatible multiplayer maps (four of which come from the original Ghost Recon) are planned for inclusion.
