Acclaim Entertainment has picked up the rights to make video games based on the hit television drama Alias. The publisher bought the rights from Disney Interactive, although details of the deal were not disclosed. Acclaim is already developing the first Alias title at its Cheltenham studios. The game will be released on the Nintendo GameCube, Sony Playstation 2 and Microsoft Xbox later this fall, the company said in a statement. The third-person action adventure video game will allow players to step into the role of the series' lead character, Sydney Bristow, an agent for the CIA. Bristow must use her cunning, extensive knowledge of martial arts and array of high-tech gadgetry to accomplish dangerous missions.
