Pocket PC Takes Off Past 1 Million Mark | |

Microsoft Corp. today announced that the Pocket PC platform surpassed worldwide sales of 1 million units. The Pocket PC reached the 1 million mark before its first birthday, and momentum shows no signs of slowing down. In recent months, the PDA industry has exploded with growth and most significantly with increased sales of Pocket PC devices. According to NPD Intelect, Pocket PC sales are currently more than 26 percent of devices $350 and up, and that number continues to rise. | ||

| I am really surprised PocketPC hasn't taken off more than it has. The iPaq (I own one) is definitely a superior product compared with the alternatives. How cool is it that I can watch real color video on my handheld and do my calendar? -RA |

I'll give you that they are pricey, but then again so is a dodge viper . . . And if I had the bucks you can bet I would go and get one. It is about the price, and I totally understand that its out of some people's price range. But if you have the bucks, man is it great . . .
#3 if you are trying to insinuate that the pocket PC's don't have rock solid software then I will have to totally disagree. If you use Outlook there is no better PDA out there on the market. That being said Palm's are great too. I am not knocking on them, I just think Pocket PC's are better. |
