** insert standard Register FoS comment here ** I about fell asleep half-way through, but this looks like another text-book example of how NOT to practice journalism. They start out the story detailing what they later reveal is a lie. it's like:
Chicken little today reported the sky is falliing and, indeed, THE SKY IS FALLING!What kind of story is that? |

| #3: You can't deny The Register's complete lack of any journalistic standard, though. They are an editorial site posing as a news regurgitation site. ActiveWin is mainly a news regurgitation site, but at least they keep their comments to themselves (or at least in the comment section where it belongs). The Register continually mixes their editorial in with facts and it blurs the line between journalism and editorial. It's quite immature and just plain unethical. |
