yeah, but xStain, MS is making this stuff up as they go along... What happens if you turn on the functionality but want to use your old apps and files. What happens when you open an unsigned mp3 and try to burn it to a disk? What happens if you rip a new mp3 using an old application? Hmm--my suspicious is, it doesn't do anything or the whole system dies. In other words, it is ineffective without complete control over all existing files and apps or it kills you for trying to be in a mixed environment.
I'm not claiming to know the reality of this tech, but when you already have people like Allchin and Will Poole making contradictory statements, it's obvious that they have no clue themselves how this is going to work.
