As if the computers Walmart sells aren't crappy enough...
Ok, here's how it's going to play out, folks... Some idiot is going to buy this thinking Lindows is a Microsoft product. When he finds it isn't, and tries to return it and is denied by WalMart, he'll sue WalMart and Lindows. Lindows is going to get itself into big trouble using that name. |

I have nothing against Linux - any flavor. But I have a problem with the goodwill issue this product is violating. Anytime Microsoft infringes on someone else's territory, the whole world raise a big stink, but now that the tables are turned, the same people don't make a peep...

I think what I find most interesting is that the Walmart web page says these machines run Lindows which is based on UNIX. That's not true. Lindows is based on Linux, but UNIX is a trademark that Linux has never sought to aquire conformance with.
Ohwell, I hope Wal-Mart releases sales numbers on these things. |

| Is there a possibility that this might backfire on Lindows? Maybe people will buy the computers for the cheap price and end up hating Lindows so much that they buy a copy of Windows to install on the computer... |
