Microsoft and the United States Postal Service Team Up to Deliver All the Conveniences of the Modern Post Office to Small Business Owners | |

Microsoft bCentral -- the leading provider of small business services on the Web and the United States Postal Service (USPS) today announced that they are joining forces to make everyday business processes more efficient and accessible for small businesses. In the future, certain USPS online services, such as NetPost Mailing Online, will be integrated with Microsoft bCentral services, such as Business Web Services. Microsoft bCentral will also allow co-branded versions of its services to be customized for the USPS Web site for small businesses. In addition, there will be joint marketing and promotional opportunities for both organizations to promote one another’s services. | ||

| I wouldn't be suprised if Dell bought Sun. Sun's revenue has been rapidly declining every quarter and Dells increasing. Dell outpaced Sun a long time ago. Dell needs something to compete with Compaq on the high end, and Sun is ripe position for being bought. As for Oracle, it'll only take a few more quarters before people realize that SQL 2000 beats Oracle in every category and that Oracle hasn't had any new innovation in a long time. They're desperately grabbing onto Java technologies in an effort to reduce cost porting to other platforms, but what they don't realize is that they're making their products even more slow and bloated while MS makes their database even more speedy and streamlined. |

| Sun is rapidly going to pot. Dell needs something to energize its market and take Compaq on more head-on (since Michael Dell basically lives to beat Compaq at everything). Dell needs a high-end server market play. Sun is ripe for the picking and can offer Dell much needed intellectual property and patents. Dell has not been closed to producing software. I know several people who were high-ranking managers at Dell and the subject had been brought up more than once. You just watch... |
