For those of you who suffer the dreaded refresh rate problem with Nvidia cards in Windows XP, here is the perfect and easily the best solution to your problems. NVRefreshTool 1.0 has been released, i'll let the designer do the talking: Today we present to you version 1.0 of the NVRefreshTool. After weeks of programming, testing, learning, translating, and forum posts; comes the product. Thanks to those who contributed to the improvement of version 1.0 of the software. As well, thanks goes to those people who contributed to the language translations, the beta testers, the bug reporters, the other news sites(thecaretaker.net,warp2search.net,guru3d.com to name just a small few off the top of my head), the designer of this webpage(VoOdOo), and lockdown for the super cool forum. 1.0 (5/25/2002)

| Fixes the refresh rate problem in games really well. Just install the latest drivers and then run the program. |

| What refresh rate problem? I have a TNT2 Ultra, is it affected by this problem? If so, I haven't noticed it. |

| Not everyone suffers with it but far more do than don't...it stops games running in anything over 60/75hz thus producing flicker. |

IMHO, this long-time irritating problem needs to be fixed at the source, whether it be Microsoft or nVidia.

NvRefFix is indeed the best tool, but it is a dead tool. It stops working after nVidia drivers version 23.11 (or so) and the author hasn't indicated that there will ever be another update. It's been a LONG time since the last one. nVidia changed some registry settings around starting with the 27.xx drivers, and that's what broke all the previous tools. TL |
