Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen today called Windows 8 "puzzling" and "confusing initially," but assured users that they would eventually learn to like the new OS. Allen, who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975, left the company in 1983 after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. He is best known in the Pacific Northwest as the owner of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and the NBA's Portland Trailblazers, and as a part-owner of the MLS' Seattle Sounders FC. | ||

This is a nice gift from MS for little shops like mine. I tweaked a lot of Vista PC's. Windows 7 included ~80% of the tweaks. Now comes Windows 8 and a lot of new tweaks that, when combined, make it faster than Windows 7. This post was edited by bobsireno on Wednesday, October 03, 2012 at 19:34. |

Shutdown button on Start Screen: create a shortcut on your desktop for C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0
Then copy the shortcut to the User's Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs folder. Sure was simple, eh? |
