Here we see a notebook (or possibly a netbook), and tablet system, the Xbox games console and a Windows Phone device all featuring the tiled “Metro UI” look that people using Windows Phone handsets will recognize. What Microsoft is showing here is plans to unify the entire ecosystem. | ||

For every version of Windows since windows 95 there's this small group of douche bags like this guy who just can't understand why Microsoft needs to change the UI, and wants Microsoft to remove the "NEW AND SHINY" UI, and stick with same old thing we're used to and comfortable with.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. I say Metro is good, and needs to exist everywhere. This post was edited by IronCladLou on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 16:20. |

IronCladLou: The author's opinion do not make him a douchbag, just a person that has an opinion that you disagree with. I, for one, intend to set all new custom assembled desktop-tower and notebook Windows 8 PC's that I sell, except touchscreens, to sport the "classic" Windows 7 look as experience tells me that PC users do not like change that comes all at once. Should the customer want the new look, if it is unchanged by RTM, than we'll show them how to set and use it.
Choice is good. |
