Windows 7 and Mac OS X each have a new, fundamental flaw that will be presented at the Hack in the Box conference in Amsterdam in July. These security holes are so close to the core operating systems that fixing them may be very hard.
Windows 7 has an issue in the 64-bit edition of the operating system.
And no software fix can be made except a new version of OS (Windows 8,9,10...).
Cue the MAC fan-boys.

Macs aren't out of the woods. They have their own flaw, supposedly easier to fix. But, who knows for sure at this time. "The flaw affects not only Macs, but could also affect the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, because they all use the same OS X base."

Am I reading the same article?
err they claim they can bypass windows security with physical access and a pcmcia card. oh my how impressive. not.
The other "windows" software flaw they discuss (I assume it's a different one) talks about "“The problem is related to the functioning of the motherboard, so it is quite irresolvable in software,” I doubt a bios update couldn't counter what ever they have found, but I suppose that remains to be seen, or perhaps they do they not consider bios software? We'll know soon enough I guess.
