Zune HD promo videos available, 3D gaming revealed | |

BuyTV has posted several promotional videos of the new Zune HD which goes on sale next Tuesday, September 15. In one of the videos, named "portable perfection", it's clear that the Zune HD will have 3D gaming capabilities as it appears mid-way through the commercial that a car game, most likely Burnout, is running on the Zune HD. There's more videos included that demonstrate overviews of the car dock, HD radio, Xbox integration, Zune HD video and AV dock. | ||

The videos look cool. I still don't think it'll make a dent in the apple-ipod juggernaut, but a second option is always good.

| Agree there - still a shame it's US only, one reason the Zune failed first time in my view was the lack of word of mouth spreading round the world - unless they pull their finger out and get it to other countries by christmas I can see it being a failure again despite looking like great hardware. |

| The biggest mistake they made was with the original Zune. They should have undercut the IPod big on every level to help saturate the market but they got greedy. They then could have charged us the same price as the ipod for this incredible player. They lost out of the gate and not making it global has been the other biggest mistake. |

| #3 won't agree here - yes the memory is cheap, but it is the OLED screen and the nvidia hardware that has pushed this price up. |

I still can't dig the interface.
It looks like the screen is just a window on top of a much larger canvas that gets moved around, instead of the interface being fully designed for that size screen. |
