As Easter is getting closer, I have found two nice Easter eggs in the most well known Microsoft cards' games included in every version of Windows. The following tips work under Windows 98 & Me (they weren’t tested under Windows 2000/NT nor Windows 95 but I guess they should work too). I’m pretty sure that most of you who pretend working very hard will like this! Bosses: attention the following dramatically harms productivity!
- Solitaire: If you’re playing with the 3 cards at a time difficulty’s level there’s a nice tip to cheat in order to pull only one card per click without restarting the current game. Simply push together the CTRL, ALT, SHIFT keys while clicking on the top of the cards' pile.
- FreeCell: This cheat is primarily dedicated to impress your friends. If you’re lost in FreeCell and felt hopeless to win someday, simply push the CTRL+SHIFT+F10 keys during a game (make sure your colleagues don't catch you). In the dialog box that appears choose the appropriate button to win the game (Abort). Once you’ve clicked the button, simply make a card’s move and you’ll instantly win!
