#2, an ad... made by an ad firm.... using a Macbook in an image? From a company that writes software for Apple computers - among others...? Say it isn't so...
The original gaff was that the same firm cut in the face of a caucasion male over an man of African descent for a website version available in Poland. Once identified for what it was, the ad was pulled. |

#3: A company that spends a lot of money trying to convince everyone to not buy a Mac having a Mac in their promotional materials?? Say it ain't so.
I didn't mention the amazing transforming man because I think that says more about Poland than it does about Microsoft. |

#5: Excuse me? "Tail whoppin"?? I've been waiting for netavenger to come on back and respond but I guess he's busy avenging the net somewhere else today. I guess after spewing a bunch of techno-babble that had nothing to do with the topic, he needed a rest.
Yes, I am aware they sell Mac Office. I'm also aware of many MS commercials about how Macs are expensive toys and how any notebook running Windows is the way to go. Smart marketing would have MS never EVER showing a Mac with the one exception: an ad for Mac Office. And even then it's not necessary to show a Mac, as MS's PC hardware partners would probably argue. Just show the screen & app and not the whole Mac. That seems like Marketing 101 to me, but since I don't know the particulars of Mac OS X's kernel-locking mechanisms, I guess my opinion is meaningless. |

So tell me, considering you've said that IP thieves are "the worst kind of human animal", and considering how Microsoft routinely finds itself on the losing end of infringement suits, how do you reconcile your pure love & devotion to Microsoft? #10: This portal I have into Latches mind is starting to scare me. It's Latch's, not Latches, and if I scare you then go run away home boy! In other news a staffer at an advertising firm no longer serving Microsoft in Europe has been found in a dumpster today... Yes, and for the MS exec that signed off on it, it was business as usual. At least they just apologized and pulled it without any lies about it being a junior staffer who didn't have authority, did it in his spare time at home, dog ate the first draft etc etc. |
