Windows Server® 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista® Service Pack 2 include all the previously released updates for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista. This document contains the list of Hotfixes and Security Updates in Windows Server 2008 SP2 RC and Windows Vista SP2. Many of these updates are available to the public on the Microsoft® Download Center and Windows® Update, while others are only available to specific customers or partners. It is a standard practice to include all of these updates in a service pack, and they are included in Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2. | ||

Errr. The text ain't correct. While SP2 for Server 2008 incorporates all previous fixes, it ain't for Vista SP2. Vista SP2 requires SP1 as the SP ain't cummulative.

Gisabun is correct. To install Vista SP2 you need to have SP1 installed correctly first. Also some of the multi-language bits haven't been officially released for SP2, so if you have some different language packs, you may either need to wait a bit or uninstall the language packs. If you have any problems getting SP2 to install you can always try the official Windows Vista Support Forum located here:
http://tinyurl.com/d5r9v3 It is supported by product specialists as well as Microsoft engineers and support teams. You may want to post any problems there. They are usually pretty quick to respond. |
