In a research note on Monday, Collins Stewart analyst Sandeep Aggarwal projected that Microsoft will finalize the code for Windows 7 by June or July and also suggested that a search deal with Yahoo is likely to happen sooner rather than later. And, although it won't be here this year, Aggarwal said that the next version of Office, code-named Office 14, should come early next year. | ||

#1, Yup - RC in April - a month later, RTM. So June 1st - 12th (depending upon when the RC drops) we'll see it going out to major OEM's for builds intended to support back to school sales through Aug/Sep.
Now... here's the question... how much performance will Intel hold back from systems suitable for inclusion in "netbooks?" I suspect a good bit. |

| I say it will RTM by July and ship by October latest (on the 25th since that'll mark the 8th anniversary of Windows XP). |
