Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like to see a directory tree.
The way Windows has concealed the actual storage location of files more and more with each new version of Windows makes me gag. Did anyone ever realize that if it takes 14 clicks and 30 seconds to find a file, it's much longer than it used to take with 3 keystrokes in XTree? Long live the command line. |

| Do you really want to 'search' everytime you want a file? I'm with #1 on this one, I like organising my own files in my own way. Sure search is a great feature and a supplement when you're unsure of where something is otherwise I'd rather have that control myself. Vista was ok in this regard - you just had to get away from installing each app into it's default location and then configure it somewhat but not worse than XP. I just hope that they've fixed Explorer and thrown out the piece of sh*t that was in Vista. |

Tree structures are really limited. This problem shows up when you try to organize files for multiple users with different needs. It's almost impossible to find a structure that suits everybody requirements. When you start to use symlinks to create alternate structures, it becomes a mess quickly. On the other hand, when documents are properly tagged with metadata, this becomes less of an issue as the metadata allows the document to be reached in a variety of ways (including tree like structures).
Most documents produced in companies shouldn't be organized according to an individual's perspective but more according to the role he fullfils. |

I also agree with #1. It looks like a work in progress, loss the elegance of Vista. I hope you can reduce the size of the launch icons. The way it looks now in Vista has a more polished look.
I also wish MS would buy VistaStartMenu and incorporate it. In any event I will upgrade when 7 is available. |

Yeah, I'm not liking that much either. It's fine until something goes wrong (and you KNOW it will eventually).

| You can organize windows explorer as you want. Folders and files can be as easy to access as you want them to be. |
