Microsoft: It’s time to consummate the marriage with Citrix already | |

The relationship between Microsoft and Citrix is much like that of a man who has been serially dating the same woman for 15 years, but never seems to be able to consummate the deal. He’s afraid of commitment, or perhaps like that old expression goes, why would he buy the cow when he can have the milk for free? | ||

A lot of companies that partner with Microsoft tend to get "consummated", whether they want to or not.

| #2: Burst, Sendo, STAC Electronics, Spyglass, IBM, and that's after about 10 seconds of thinking. I could easily find more, but it's a waste of time, isn't it? If I come up with 10 companies that got screwed by MS, would you then publicly admit that I'm right and you're wrong? No? I didn't think so. |

Spyglass - Microsoft licensed the technology
Sendo screwed up by dumping Microsoft as a partner. "But the demise of Sendo is not so much due to Redmond skulduggery, as the sheer difficulty of being a small player in a high-volume market like mobile phones, particularly if you're based in high-cost Britain. #6: The mafia whacking a guy could also be described as a "business decision". Most companies don't partner with someone and then develop a competing product in secret.
#8: You should have been a defense attorney: "My client didn't kill 20 people. He, uh, lowered the resource drain on the Earth! Yeah. That's the ticket!" And you're quoting from the Register again. You know, that rag that isn't fit to wrap fish in according to you? But only when they're coming down on MS, I assume, right? Of course, I knew when I started to list the companies screwed by MS you would spin everything out of the Universe. You're so predictable. |

What? From Wikipedia, which you so often use as a source: "IBM grew concerned about the delays in development of OS/2 2.0 and the diversion of IBM funds earmarked for OS/2 development towards Windows" There was no secret! |
