In a statement, Microsoft said that it will start "limited field trials" of XP running on the OLPC computer in January. If all goes well, Microsoft said it could have XP running on the XO by the second half of next year. However, it cautioned folks in North America, particularly those taking part in the Give One, Get One program, that it has no plans to offer that version of XP to folks in the U.S. or Canada. | ||

This article stirs emotions. Not good ones. Again, North American's are blessed to support the third world by paying higher prices. | Yeah I feel real sorry for all us living in 1st world nations who have to pay inflated prices for these things. I am surprise more people aren't relocating to 3rd world countries to get cheap software and DVD's. Damn the 3rd world nations - standing on our backs, living it up, with all the cheap software they can buy. |
