lawyer: "So you were the dominant maker of PDAs from 1997-2001?"
Palm: "Yessir, we had 90% of the market."
lawyer: "And when Microsoft released Windows CE what did you do?"
Palm: "We laughed about it a lot. Boy did that first version really suck."
lawyer: "Did you think that they offered competition?"
Palm: "No sir, it was complete crap. We told ourselves that customers didn't want fancy devices, they were happy with black and white displays and slow processors."
lawyer: "So, you didn't think it was worth investing money in R&D to come out with improvements to your existing system?"
Palm: "No."
lawyer: "And what happened when Microsoft released PocketPC?"
Palm: "We crapped our pants. It was so much better than anything we had, and we immediately started losing market share."
lawyer: "So why are you before the court today?"
Palm: "We want Microsoft stopped. We can't compete against better products, it was so much easier when there was no competition."
Microsoft: "We rest our case, your honor."
