Deepfish: Microsoft Unveils New Mobile Web Browser to Bring Desktop-Like Browsing to Mobile Devices | |

Today at the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference (eTech), Microsoft unveiled a new mobile technology, called Deepfish, designed to offer mobile users quick and convenient Web browsing that more closely resembles the experience of browsing the Web on desktop computers. Microsoft is making a limited technology preview available to the public on a first-come basis. To learn more Deepfish technology and how it will improve Web browsing for mobile users, PressPass spoke with Dr. Gary William Flake, a Microsoft Technical Fellow and the founder and director of Microsoft Live Labs.

| Neat. It uses the Sea Dragon technology. That stuff is pretty cool. |

| i have seadragon on the brain. i see so many uses for it. I was adding to my geneology file the other night, and as anyone that has a big family tree knows... its hard to "visualize" large family trees. Seadragon would be a perfect fit. |

| Normally, I'm rather skeptical of the interesting, yet not practical, stuff that comes out of start-ups. SeaDragon technology is not only slick, but has so many applications. Looking at data from a "big picture" is much more like a human than a computer. |
