Yes it seems that Windows Live Messenger 8.1 has gone gold and been released to the web. The final build is 8.1.0178.0 and it is no surprise that it has been released just in time for the Windows Vista launch tomorrow. | ||

The whole "shared files"thing is a total disaster.
It is not very usefull for larges files ( movies ). And for smaller files email is fine also WTF can't I delete an email when I get prompted by that new email notification? |

Are there any higher-end replacements for Office Communicator 2005? We use a corporate server, for internal only IM, but I HATE the limited functionality of Office Communicator.

| TL, we use O2K5 Communicator as well - for both workstations/laptops and mobile SmartPhones. Check out the new 2K7 server and its line. It promises a lot more functionality. |
