Win2K vs ME for Games | |

hardCOREware.Net has posted up a new article that compares Windows ME and Windows 2000 for gamers. Here is a snippet from the article: So which one wins? Well if you want pure gaming, I'm going to have to go with ME by a hair, but that's only for pure gaming. In my experience, ME is stable enough for gaming, and its performance is better in the slimmest majority of the tests. ME is also cheaper by $80, something that has to be considered. However, as an overall OS I would have to say that 2k takes the cake. Its gaming performance is only slightly lower overall than ME, and it is far ahead with things like security and stability. If you can afford the extra $80, and want an all around OS, there's no reason not to go with 2k as it can finally post impressive numbers in both OpenGL and DirectX. | ||

| I agree with you that Windows Me is certainly better with games...hopefully this will change with Windows XP. |
