Microsoft Sues Testing Materials Vendor | |

Microsoft has filed a federal lawsuit against testing materials vendor TestKing, alleging that the company is illegally selling the actual answers to its certification exams.
The suit, filed last week in Federal District Court in Seattle, claims that the "defendants have provided and are providing, without license or permission from Microsoft, the original copyrighted exam content from Microsoft Certification Exams." | ||

| Some day I should take the exams I've taken who knows how many expensive ass classes hosted by MS and others on product administration to prepare for the exams but never bothered doing them as the most common answer to me being in the class in the first place was to learn the benifits and features and migrating to a new platform just to do it soon after. The classes are more fun than testing anyway and as long as your pay doesn't reflect certs your ok lol... |

#2: I had a team member once that had passed the TCP/IP exam, supposedly a tough one. He then asked me if it was true that each system on an IP network had to have a unique IP address. I just looked at him and didn't know what to say other than 'yes'. #3: Congrats on winning the ActiveWIn Longest Run-On Sentence award. |

I guess too many people are passing the exams on their first try.
If Microsoft would make its exams more difficult, more varied and with more real life simulations instead of easy multiple choice questions then Testking would not be so accurate. But this might reduce the number of people trying to become MCSEs, which would cut into some people's wallets. The other challenge is that real world problems never have only one way to solve them. Give 4 experienced MCSEs a problem to solve and they would come up with 10 different legitimate solutions. Try making a simulator test engine that can evaluate that. |

Clustered systems can have the same virtual IP address. And bridged networks can have network cards without an IP address. And they'll still pass IP traffic from one card to another. |
