Steven Bink reports that Exchange 2007 is feature complete, beta 2 will be publicly available end of July.
In Exchange 2003 sp1 NAS storage support was added. Windows 2003 Storage Server included a wizard to move the databases from the installed exchange server to the storage server, the databases are then hosted through Windows file sharing.
That support is ditched with Exchange 2007, now with better iSCSI support (Microsoft iSCSI 2.01) and iSCSI target support in Windows Storage Server R2, filesharing storage is to slow (data has to go up then the network stack)
