GroupCalendar is an easy to install add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2000 and up. It collates everybody's calendars into one Outlook calendar. Thousands of users, some dating back to the first version in 2003, rely on it every day. Their feedback resulted in a slick but simple calendar tool. It comes with three years of free updates and a free but very responsive (telephone/email) helpdesk. It features a grid view where all users are visible on the Y-axis and their calendar info on the X-axis. For larger user groups it is possible to use a SQL server but for smaller groups up to 20, the default MS Access database will be sufficient. An Apple Ical extension is available to finally integrate those calendars with their Outlook colleagues. It allows users to disconnect from the network and sync their offline work when they return. It allows delegates to set up meetings for colleagues. It has some features to prevent colleagues from seeing private information and supports PDA's.
It needs a network (peer to peer) with a shared directory for the calendar database to be copied onto.
