| "Innovation" was used ten times in that memo! Why do I imagine the MS campus full of a bunch of geeks tossing out "innovation" in every conversation so they appear to be in-line with the leadership? |

#1: It's the Big Lie in action. The more you say something, the more the uninformed take your word for it. After all, MS wouldn't say it repeatedly if it weren't true, right? Of course, the MS dictionary has redefined 'innovate' to mean 'copy, buy or steal'.

Downloading files off the internet ... I've been doing that since before http existed.

| #8: OK, now you're just being obtuse on purpose. You know damn well that BitTorrent solved the problem of distributing large content without totally killing the original host, but go ahead and lump it in with 'file downloading'. By your logic, there is no innovation anywhere as it's all been done before -- if you abstract it high enough. MS certainly doesn't innovate, since everything they have done can be summed up as 'performing a function via computer'. I did that on my Apple ][ in the 80's. Try again. |
