On Monday, we had the honor of meeting with Bill Gates to discuss MIX06, IE, DHTML, AJAX, Compatibility, Office 12, and also gain insight into where he surfs on the web :). He also shares with us where and how software can make the world a better place. This is the second time we've had Bill on C9 and he wants to do more interviews, covering a wide array of topics. How cool is that? He thinks Channel 9 is a "phenomenon". We're honored. Thank you, Bill! | ||

I watched the video - it was definately good - interviews with Bill usually are - but let me tell you, there is no way in hell I would have walked into an interview with Bill G with a pad of paper and a pen. I would have gone out the night before and bought a damn Tablet PC just for the interview.
It was good to see him ask Bill about the situation with Internet Explorer - and it was also good to see that Bill recognizes that MS has neglected it for far too long. I sensed the guy was a little scared to ask Bill that question. I would have also like to have seen the interviewer ask Bill if he spends much time browsing around Google's web sites and ask if he spends much time studying their strategies. |

Chris: You are insightful in that a tablet PC may have made a superior impression to Gates than a pad of paper and scriptorious instrument. Still, if the interviewer was short on funds, he did the best he could. More power to him for what he did.
Even though he is filthy rich Bill Gates typically comes across as having empathy for those that have less than he has, which happens to be everyone else on the planet. |

yes - you're right - I am insightful...
short on funds? give me a break! who isn't short on funds? I'm short on funds, but I can still afford a tablet pc... I think Bill's empathy starts and ends with people who have no hope, no options - people who are concerned more about disease and where their next meal will come from rather than whether or not to bring a tablet pc or a scriptious instrument to an interview... |
