Stocks fell after major retailers warned of softer profits and the nation's largest brokerage soured on software titan Microsoft Corp because of a slump in personal computer sales. Investors also fretted over Tuesday's warning by computer networking giant Cisco Systems Inc of slower earnings growth. An early rally in tech shares fizzled out in the afternoon, and the Nasdaq market carved out its lowest close in a month. | ||

| This is so bogus. All the foreign markets are going nuts right now, sales are the highest they've been ever. All those boxes are getting Windows. At home, Windows 2000 is selling faster than Windows NT 4.0 ever did. This is BS, MS' stock should be rising like crazy. These stupid analysts have it in for MS. |
