South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has signed a long-term contract to provide 2.5-generation mobile phones worth $1.5 billion to U.S. telecom company Sprint Corp, local media reported on Friday.
Samsung, Korea's biggest electronics company, will sell three million units of cdma2000 lx handsets worth $1.54 billion to the No.3 U.S. long-distance telephone company by the end of 2003, the Korea Economic Daily said.
