Apple has announced a new iPod which has a video function with a larger widescreen display but it's still about the music. This is not the iPod Video users may have been expecting. The new iPod has a 2.5 inch display, and run in the widescreen 16:9 resolution, 320 x of 240 pixels and supports MPEG 4, H.264. The 30 gigabyte model is $299, and is supposed to be 31% thinner than the current 20 gigabyte model. The 60 gigabyte is still thinner than the 20Gb that Apple currently sell. Both are to be released in black and white next week.
