#1 - That problem has existed since Win2k Service Pack 2. Anytime I would lock my machine, I would loose my intellimouse mappings. This problem has persisted in WinXP.
I've contacted Microsoft on several occasions, and they continue to seemingly ignore the problem, suggesting it's a 3rd party application or misconfiguration causing the problem. It is not. I've reproduced this on 3 seperate machines.

No I have the same problem. No wireless devices. It seems like the computer loses the usb connection for a second and then windows reinstalls the drivers. THe whole process takes around five seconds. Really stinks and I hope they fix it. Are you connecting through usb?

#9,
Normally, you would go to:
http://corporate.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
But for some reason they are not listing Windows XP (any flavor).
Microsoft is controlling XP Updates, Drivers, etc... with an Iron Fist, so it may be that we never see them outside of WindowsUpdate.

I got the app update and I noticed that it had an update for EZ CD Creator 4.02. Does anyone know if v4.02 will work with XP now? Also it'd be nice if they fixed the keyboard bug. I don't know, maybe it's only me... but if more than one person is logged on and you press a hotkey on your MICROSOFT keyboard (for say e-mail) it loads the e-mail program in ALL the profiles that are currently logged in! That's crazy!

Whoa. Now that's interesting #13.
I guess I haven't noticed any problems with my mouse. I use some custom buttons, but I have them defined per application.
I do know the keyboard and mouse drivers do not work with a KVM. But that's because my KVM doesn't mimic the special functions, probably.

Yeah #16 I guess that _is_ a nice keyboard but I like my Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro just fine. I like split in the middle and all... and hey, it came with my Dell. I'm not about so shell out money for a new keyboard when I like mine just fine. The hotkey issue doesn't really bother me since I really never use the hotkeys anyway. I just thought I'd bring up an interesting bug. To be honest, I personally like Microsoft on a whole and I'd hate to see what this tech world would be without them but in some areas they are just down right horrible! (Such as this whole thing with the keyboard) I mean, come on! You make a new "state of the art" OS and your own product doesn't work with it! Give me a break! You'd think out of all the hardware and software out there that Microsoft's would work on XP the best since they programmed the OS yet some of my MS software that isn't even that old won't even run on XP... even with compatability mode and all... HELLO MS?
