Microsoft on Thursday confirmed it is developing a new Windows-based operating system aimed at companies that want to better secure their older machines. Code-named Eiger, the product is "in the very early stages of product development and testing," a Microsoft representative said. | ||

| Can't think of a situation where this is useful. I've seen systems still sitting on 486 machines running DOS... but that's because they had some piece of hardware without drivers for anything else or some weird thing like that. |

Well, my brothers ALR has been running strong since 1994. Windows 98, 24MBs of RAM, Pentium 75Mhz.
