| quux - That's only true if the application was configured to use a particular version of the framework via its app.config file. If not, then the app will default to the latest version of the framework. |

| Default behavior is to run against the version of the Framework the app was compiled for. So, if you have fx 1.1 and fx 2.0 installed, an app built against fx 1.1 will use fx 1.1 to run. It will only run against 2.0 if 2.0 is the only version installed or if the admin overrides the default behavior. |

| SQL Server 2005 beta 2 was released last summer and not surprisingly won't work with the version of the framework released several months later. SQL Server 2005 May CTP (it would be beta 3 if they hadn't decided to only do CTPs from here on out), which was released concurrently with Visual Studio 2005 beta 2, plays quite nicely with Visual Studio 2005 beta 2. I've got them installed together on three boxes. |
