ActiveWin.com is forming a colony for Microsoft's OurColony.net web game. If you are interested in playing, sign up by clicking on the linked headline, figure out the password on the first page and sign up using the team passcode "10146227". If you haven't heard about OurColony.net, check out the site. We might be a bit behind the other teams, but if we all work together I'm sure we can find our way to the top! Even if we don't win, it will sure be fun to play.
Updated: We've opened up a group which will allow us to work better as a team in solving the puzzles. Since our forums are currently in testing, we're going to use Google Groups. The address is: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/ActiveWincom. In the past few hours alone, we've shot up nearly 800 places. So come help us out and have some fun!

*scratches head*
Huh? What am I missing here. There's nothing on the page except the funky stretchable image. When I type in the code and click the insect, I get "Directory Listing denied".
Is this a game, or just a crappy web site?

The team passcode doesn't come yet... the first page is a little puzzle. I know my original post was a bit misleading, so I have updated it. It looks like RedAvenger figured it out...

Since we don't yet have a formal place to collaberate, I'm going to post the clue we have right now. It's simply a picture (http://www.ourcolony.net/images/challenges/863.jpg) and then a box to enter a word. Anybody have any ideas?
And if you haven't signed up yet, please do... our team gets points whenever anyone signs up. We've already jumped about 800 places in just the last few hours. Please play!

*sigh*
I can't tell if they're playing a game, or if something is just wrong.
I can't register because it keeps saying "you know the drill. enter the code", so I enter the code and then it says "You need to go back and type the correct number"
Is this another game, or just bad web programming?

As far as the picture, it looks very much the fender of a car. My guess is the front passenger-side.

Lost interest... Agree with others, the initial web page is a piece of doggie doo.
I tried typing the code and got a redirect to a page that doesn't exist.

I closed the window and opened a new browser window and went back in and now it detects me as being part of the Activewin.com team. WTF?

ok, phew, I'm not just stupid. It didn't take numbers in the username. When I removed the number from my username, all was well.

daz (#7), I think you're right... we got this picture earlier: (http://www.ourcolony.net/thesecret/1426.jpg). I'm just not sure how the two relate the the puzzle or what the word we need is.

Though it still kinda looks like a car fender, I noticed some grating inside the dark area, which means it's probably not a car fender. It looks familiar, but I can't put a name on it.

That other picture you had (1426). What was the answer for that?

In case you guys didn't see, we've moved over to Google Groups (as our forums are down right now). There will probably be some debate over us picking Google, but I decided to go with Google because MSN's groups are just too shiny and purple, while Yahoo's groups have too many ads. So sorry if you have a problem with Google Groups, but that's what we're using.
At the groups, anyone can post and anyone can read the archives. So stop by sometime :-)

Hey xcrax, are you entering "play" into the first field, then hitting the insect? After that you should be able to register. After registering, just hit "Join Existing Colony" and enter the number above.
Let me know if that works for you.

I didn't realize this at first, now I feel like a corporate tool :(
this ourcolony.net thing is just a marketing engine for XBox 2 by Microsoft. Nothing fancy, just something to get people excited about XBox 2 :(
