I have just posted my review of Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer with Fingerprint Reader. Here is an excerpt: The Microsoft Fingerprint Reader is combined with the wireless base of the IntelliMouse Explorer, therefore making it larger overall than the standalone Fingerprint Reader. The base device is almost four and half inches long, and about 2.5 inches average width, and about an inch or so high with a weight of slightly more than an small mouse. The reader screen itself is a little over an inch long, and slightly less than inch wide. A split red/silver circle encompasses the plastic reader screen on top. The reader itself is a slightly sticky plastic material. When the device is on, the reader lights up in the same way the bottom of the optical mouse do. | ||

| I think I'll wait until Apple "invents" a polka-dot colored fingerprint reader. God, those are some innovative folks. |

Did anyone see any test results relating to ...
Must the finger be alive? (finger is attached to the live owner) Has the device been tested against false fingers? (gelatin, wax, etc) It also needs to be browser independent. |

| I tried to impersonate a finger using the oils from an existing fingerprint with some dusting material, air, and a laytex glove like a movies...didn't work. |
