Will Windows Media Player Get a Reprieve? | |

We should know, possibly as early as Friday, whether a European Union court will grant Microsoft a temporary reprieve in complying with sanctions specified by the European Commission in the ongoing EU vs. Microsoft antitrust case. The court will decide whether Microsoft will be required to offer immediately a European version of Windows that decouples the Windows Media Player module and to provide its competitors with more information designed to allow their products to better interoperate with Windows. Microsoft is arguing that it should not be required to comply until its appeal of the EC decision is decided. | ||

This is supposed to be a valid viewpoint? "Europe is a decadent continent and we should pay no heed to their whining." This is supposed to be a valid viewpoint? "In 100 years they will be mostly gone, replaced by "Eurabia"." This is supposed to be a valid viewpoint? So basically screw the EU socialists because they stand in microsofts way, and instead embrace the Chinese communists because their market presents untapped opportunities for Microsoft, the American company. LOL ok sorry your right.. it wasnt ignorant afterall. |

europe vs. america - wow, what a topic!
the push pull of the cross atlantic relationship spans many generation with each side claiming superiority in some way or other. to add fuel to the fire - i agree with the comment that european industry in general and the labor force in particular is largely ossified and entrenched. i don’t see great innovation coming out of europe and that feature alone bodes poorly for the continent. america too in my opinion is loosing its edge, but in my lifetime america has managed to reinvent itself by adding creative energies from people all over the world. innovation is the future and hope of all industrialized countries be it europe or america or asia. europe can no more legislate innovation any more than america can litigate it. |
